An artist with a passion for patterns and sewing

Melissa is the color/texture/pattern loving, hiking/skiing/traveling artist and maker behind Buue Studio. She’s had her own children’s handmade clothing line since 2007, mixing prints to create unique garments. The never ending need to create and a passion for patterns has lead her to a love of surface pattern design. Her use of bright, bold colors, block prints, and digital techniques keep things delightfully uncommon. She thinks that playfulness should be part of everyone’s everyday. Melissa lives in New Hampshire, where moose, bear, and porcupines frequently look into her studio window just to see what’s up.
