Decorative Artist and Surface Designer

I'm a decorative artist and surface designer based in Washington, DC. I've licensed with various companies all over the world such as F. Schumacher Co., Lulu and Georgia, Brewster, and WALPA (Japan), AARP, Best Buy, and Meta. My work is inspired by the cultural heritage of the African Diaspora, and reflects the stories of history, cultural memory, migration, and ritual. Black Pepper Paperie Co. was founded in 2017, fueled by a passion for creating and sharing. From a hobby-based clay business, it has transformed into a full-time decorative art and design studio, specializing in hand-made ceramics, surface pattern design, and wall art.
