A Surface Pattern Designer

Hello, my name is Kristen Louise from Victoria, Australia. I recently joined the world of surface pattern design, after spending fifteen years working and volunteering in the Community Services sector. In February 2022 I undertook a surface pattern design course and found it to be the most joyous “work” I have ever done. I love experimenting, be it with colour combinations, pattern layers, subject material or the method in producing each design - I love it all because you just never know what wonderfulness can come from such exploration. I engage in two different styles - the first is fun, colourful and playful the second is more mature, detailed and structured. I like to incorporate a combination of both within my collections.
