Hi, I'm Liz Christiansen – a multidisciplinary surface pattern designer and artist based in Brisbane, Australia. Focused on creating vibrant artwork, I have a visual language of bold colour and graphic composition developed from over 22 years diverse design experience working as a graphic and branding designer. My work is about the creative process and capturing movement – combining digital design skills with a love of collage, drawing, painting, ink and lettering. My artwork has been featured in Pattern Pulse Volume 2 by Rachael King – a compendium of 100 Australian surface pattern designers, released in November 2022. In December 2022, I won the Frankie Magazine Good Stuff Award 2022 for my surface pattern design, 'Enveloping' and was featured in Issue 111 of Frankie Magazine.
