HELLO! Welcome to my site. I am very happy about your visit in my colorful world. I`m Karoline – Surface pattern designer, illustrator and creative head of moDeern Design Studio. Together with my little family I live and work in Hamburg, Germany. As a true Nordic Deern (Deern = North German word for woman/girl) I love minimalistic Scandinavian designs. But at the same time also floral, playful and folkloric elements from all over the world. My creative career began 2005 with my studies as a designer. After that I first worked as a freelance graphic designer for over 10 years until I finally turned my passion into a profession in 2016 and founded moDeern. Since then I have been creating sophisticated, unique designs and patterns for textiles and products. Over the last few years I have been able to license many of my designs and work with a variety of companies including The Creative Club, Minted, Tchibo, Rossmann, Westfalenstoffe, HILCO and many more. I create artworks and patterns for LICENSING and SELL for a wide range of markets and products. Color and size adjustments are of course no problem. All my designs are ready for printing and are delivered as .psd or .ai file. They are color separated with layers and comply with industry requirements.
