With paint running through her veins, Goulburn Australia-based artist and author Sami Sparrow was born with a crayon in her hand and the imagination to use it in a million ways. Sami pursues her passion by exploring her abundant creativity across illustration, design and painting. Sami is currently focused on explorating repetition, shapes, characters and colour. Inspired by bold colour, graffiti, and bygone eras, for Sami, the sky is never the limit. Sami has been promoting her unique style of working since 2015, in this time Sami has authored three internationally published colouring books through HarperCollins publisher, Sami has also been featured in numerus art exhibitions throughout this time. Sami has a degree in Fine and Visual Arts through Tafe that was attained in her early twenties and continues to attend new courses to expand her variety of skills and creative abilities. When Sami is not working on her creative projects she is looking after her husband and their two adorable fur children Luna and Chewie. It has been a long-time dream for Sami to have her work licensed, especially for textiles, ceramics and wallpapers. With a heavily design based influence in her artwork, Sami’s creations are sure to grab people’s eyes and stand out from the crowd. Sami's designs have been featured in collections with companies such as Pebble and Poppet and Clover & Co. Fabrics.
