Wendie is an artist and surface pattern designer based in the United States.  She is known for her loose, intuitive style and is inspired by the everyday things around her, from her breakfast strawberries to flowers blooming in her garden. It is Wendie’s goal to keep the process of creating art fun and hopes that the same joyful feeling in her creations will resonate with her audience. She prefers to start her patterns by traditional methods using pencil, paint, and paper, and then transfers the designs into Adobe Illustrator where she creates her colorful, vector-based patterns. Wendie’s patterns are fun, organic and colorful with a hint of vintage inspiration and will bring joy and beauty into living spaces as they come to life on products. Currently, Wendie resides in Michigan, spending the last sixteen years focused on raising her family. Now with two college aged kids she has been enjoying the “empty nest” alongside her husband and very spoiled cat.
